Chris joined the Lichfield Players over 20 years ago, first working backstage for Run For
Your Wife in 1994, and has been an active member since that time, spending a little time on
the Committee as the Membership Secretary, Publicity Officer and Play Selection Convenor.
He has directed a few plays over the last few years: Let It Be Me, Ghostwriter, An Enemy of
the People, My Boy Jack, and Garden. Chris has appeared in many plays over the years,
but particularly enjoyed playing Charlie in The Darling Buds of May, John Proctor in The
Crucible, and his first role as Hastings in She Stoops To Conquer. He wasn’t very good in
that, but he did get to meet the girl playing his betrothed (Miss Constance Neville), to whom
he’s now been happily married for nearly 20 years!
