Karen started her acting career at the age of ten, when she appeared in the title role of Snow White, which toured around the church halls in Birmingham where she lived. It was many years later that she turned up at the Arts Centre in Lichfield and appeared in their wonderful production of Cabaret, in a role which was the exact opposite – that of Fraulein Kost! There was a busy time ahead, with Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf (Martha), Daisy Pulls it Off (Trixie) and many more for the Players, plus some work with an opera group in Burton, and some competitive festival work, to gain experience towards her Acting Diploma. There also followed Noises Off, Lucky Sods, The Cemetery Club and Quartet, and more lately Rebecca (Mrs Danvers) and the great fun of Tiptoe through the Tombstones. She is ‘resting’ at present, but hopes to do more in 2016!
